ABOUT SARAH

At the age of seven, Sarah Malinda Vondracek made a decision that would shape her life. She decided she wanted to be in the beauty industry.  In 2013, she got her cosmetology license and began working behind the chair. A few years later, she began posting her upstyles and braids on her Instagram page @beautymarkedbysarah. Today, her page has grown to over 14.6k followers and her work is coveted by brands and industry magazines alike. Sarah has become a highly sought after artist, traveling all over the U.S. educating others; extension and special occasion upstyling.

 
Back in 2017, Sarah was featured in Modern Salon’s, “MODERN SALON 100.” The issue lists the magazine’s who’s-who of social media beauty influencers. She is now a CosmoProf CosmoPro artist, member of Modern Salon’s Artist Collective plus serves as social ambassador and educator for Hotheads extensions and Sexy Hair. The talented artist has also partnered with brands like Olivia Garden, Pharmagel and Pink Pewter.
 
The artist’s work has also been nominated for several awards.  She is a three-time BehindtheChair.com #OneShot Hair Award nominee receiving one for upstyling and two for braiding.  Two of her looks made the global competition’s Top 5, which only 1 in every 30,000 submissions do. Her work was also nominated for CosmoProf’s, 2018 Licensed to Create award.
 
Sarah’s experience goes beyond social.
 
She was a member in Sexy Hair’s New York Fashion Week Team, where she got to create fashion-forward styles for fashion designers Phillipe and David Blond, also known as The Blonds. They have designed clothes for countless  celebrities including Rihanna, Katy Perry, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, and Christina Aguilera.
